This 4-hour course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

This course teaches:

It trains participants first aid basics for the most common first aid emergencies, including:

  • how to recognize first aid emergencies, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills

  • how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials, act quickly and safely, clean the area that has blood or blood-containing materials and what to do if an accidental exposure were to occur
